Dr. Brenda Yang (she/her) is a User Experience Researcher at Instagram in New York City, New York. She specializes in research on misinformation, memory for personal events (autobiographical memory), and science learning. She earned her Ph.D. from Duke University in 2021.
Dr. Yang conducts research on memory for narrative fiction (books, movies, and TV) and how graphs can be used to generate and spread misinformation. She wrote a featured article in Scientific American about fixed and growth mindsets.
