Dr. Carolina Kuepper-Tetzel (she/her) is an Associate Professor at the University of Glasgow in Glasgow, Scotland. She specializes in research on spacing and student study strategies. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of Mannheim in 2010.

Dr. Kuepper-Tetzel’s expertise focuses on implementing learning and memory strategies in educational settings to promote long-term retention. She founded the Teaching Innovation & Learning Enhancement (TILE) network. Her work at TILE brings different disciplines and sectors together to discuss how to overcome prevailing issues in education with research-based approaches, which was featured by BBC News.

Dr. Kuepper-Tetzel is convinced that psychological research should serve the public and, to that end, engages heavily in scholarly outreach and science communication. She co-authored the book Ace That Test: A Student’s Guide to Learning Better. She writes blogs about the science of learning and is frequently invited to give professional development workshops and keynotes on learning and teaching worldwide with The Learning Scientists.
